Saba is built around a simple idea: the information that never changes about your patient should never need to be typed again.
The first time you document a patient in Saba, you enter their complete profile — everything that stays the same shift after shift. Saba stores this securely and auto-fills it on every form you ever start for this patient.
When you start a new form, Saba pre-fills every static field from the patient profile automatically. Clinical assessment sections — Neurological, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, GI, Mobility — are pre-loaded from the previous shift's documented values, ready to confirm or update.
For every clinical section, you see a "No change from last visit" button. One tap confirms the entire section unchanged — covering up to 14 fields at once. If something has changed, tap into that field and update it. Most shifts, you'll use "No change" on 4–5 sections and only enter the daily values.
When your form is complete, export a clean PDF — formatted to match the Registered Nurse Assessment of Medical Necessity your agency and payers already know. Pro and Agency users can submit directly to Medi-Cal and other payers without leaving the platform.
Saba categorizes every field on the form into three types — so you always know exactly what you need to enter today.
Entered once when you create the patient profile. Never asked for again unless something clinically changes. These fields auto-fill on every form automatically.
Carried forward from the previous shift's documentation. Shown highlighted so you know to review them. Tap "No change" to confirm, or edit if today is different.
Clinical values that are meaningful only when fresh. These are always prompted clearly and never pre-filled — to protect documentation accuracy and clinical safety.
